You play as Aspen Sibley, a marine biologist tasked with killing a mystical seafolk by the name of Vetta.

In this world, Seafolk are revered and work as minor gods, keeping the lands fertile and waters clean through magic. When one falls ill or succumbs to magic deficiency, the surrounding nature turns rapidly hostile. The river in which Vetta oversees is where Aspen grew up—and unbeknownst to Aspen, he has a closer connection to Vetta than he thinks.

Now, Aspen must make a choice: free the land from the monster's rot, or convince a dying savior to survive.
